About

„Current development aid does not help and exacerbates the existing problems in Africa“, says economist James Shikwati. He strongly criticizes the efforts of development cooperation of donor countries.

Germany and the European Union are the biggest donors of development aid - and large amounts go to Africa. But in how far is foreign aid the right approach to sustainable development? What are alternatives to foster economic growth? This Monday on the Couch will explore these and other questions.

The event is organized by the Bosch Alumni Network in collaboration with the Robert Bosch Academy and nefia e.V.

Monday on the Couch is a discussion format within the Bosch Alumni Network. One Monday each month, experts from the Bosch Alumni Network are invited to the iac Community Space to discuss a current political or societal topic.

Registration for this event is closed.
