About

The world faces a convergence of crises – in a decade arguably the most consequential ever for humanity. The choices we make now about climate change, inequality, and other intersecting challenges will determine the future for generations to come.

Political reality is often far from what a broad spectrum of activists demand.  Activism is an expression of the moral courage of those around the world who voice their concerns. Collectively, activism’s efforts are winning significant battles against tremendous odds.  As some put it, activism might be winning battles, but is patently losing the overall war for climate, economic, and gender justice. There is a need to develop accelerated change strategies so that we can win bigger and faster should we hope to avoid the worst of the catastrophes staring us in the face.

The following questions will be addressed:

  • Why is activism failing to bring the change we require?
  • What does activism need to start doing, stop doing, and continue doing, perhaps in different ways?
  • What is the future of activism and what are the most innovative and promising strategies? What are the biggest challenges lying ahead?

A light lunch will be served. All required distancing and hygiene requirements will be met at the venue.

Registration for this event is closed.
