The event is meant as a tribute to the foundation’s long lasting cooperation with Mirsad Purivatra, who as Director of the Sarajevo Film Festival joined the Robert Bosch Academy in September 2014 as a Richard von Weizsäcker Fellow. At the same time it looks back on the ten year-engagement of the Film Prize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung in Eastern Europe, which now continues with a new focus on the Arab world. In the presence of the producers and film makers, three outstanding films of the recent years will be presented.

Three outstanding Film Prize winners will be screened with their directors / producers present:

Alerik by Vuk Mitevski

Drifter by Gábor Hörcher
(Germany/Hungary 2014, documentary, 72 Min)

The Chicken by Una Gunjak
(Germany/Croatia 2014, short fiction film, 15 Min)

We are honored to welcome Jasmila Žbanić, winner of the Golden Bear at the 56th Berlin International Film Festival, Ally Derks, director of IDFA Amsterdam, and Charles Tesson, artistic director Semaine de la Critique as special guests.
